Doug Kaye

Doug Kaye is Executive Director of The Conversations Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit podcasting network that captures, preserves, produces and distributes important spoken-word events on a wide variety of topics worldwide for free. Prior to that he founded, ran (for 18 years) and sold a successful system software company, then decided to work his way down the corporate ladder and served as CTO for four dot-com startups. Somewhere along the way, Doug found time to write two books: "Strategies for Web Hosting and Managed Services" (John Wiley and Sons, 2002) and "Loosely Coupled – The Missing Pieces of Web Services" (RDS Press, 2003).

Neil Kjeldsen

Neil Kjeldsen is a seasoned eCommerce and internet business executive. Neil has developed and led a number of successful web businesses for companies ranging from Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey to Charles Schwab & Co. Neil is currently starting an internet learning company and serves on several boards.

Russell McDonald

Russell McDonald has more than 20 years of experience in the field information and technology, over 15 of that at the executive level. He has worked with world-wide information system providers in the academic and public libraries such as Elsevier Science based in Amsterdam, Holland and the Ex Libris Group based in Jerusalem, Israel. From 2006 to 2008 Mr. McDonald served as CEO of iPost before stepping down to join his wife living abroad in Sydney, Australia. He and his wife have recently returned to the Bay Area and Mr. McDonald is very pleased to continue his association with iPost by serving on its board. He holds an M.A. in English from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Barton Schaefer, CEO

Schaefer has more than 15 years of experience in email systems that includes extensive expertise in both email marketing practices and solutions. Before co-founding iPost, he helped found Z-Code Software, whose ground-breaking application, Z-Mail, won numerous awards, including PC Magazine’s Editor's Choice Award. Dr. Schaefer is actively involved in IETF email standards discussions and the Anti-SPAM Research Group, and contributes regularly to open software projects including Spam Assassin and zsh. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Oregon Graduate Institute, and a BSS in Computer Science from Cornell College.

Robert Walton (Advisor)

Robert Walton has served as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Overseers of the Claremont University Consortium (CUC) since July 2007. As CEO, he oversees all aspects of operations for the Claremont University Consortium, the central coordinating and support organization for The Claremont Colleges, a highly regarded cluster of seven independent colleges and universities located in Southern California. Prior to assuming the role of CEO at the CUC, Mr. Walton served as the Vice President of Finance and Business for the College of Wooster. Mr. Walton has also held executive level positions for several information technology companies including CEO of CLSI, a higher education software provider, and COO of Innovative Interfaces, a library and information management software provider. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
