Overview of Data Tables
Data Tables provide storage and data usage from other systems, enabling our clients to easily access all of their custom data for segmentation and personalization.
Data tables let you create multiple tables with different structures and connect them through shared data fields, forming a relational database. Each table can store its own unique data set, giving you a more flexible configuration and a more detailed view of your data. This also allows you to build advanced data structures with one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-one relationships across multiple tables.
The data that is stored in Custom Data Tables can be used for audience segmentation, suppression, and personalization. This can be achieved by creating a logic-defined Dynamic Data Table or by using an SQL query. To personalize content based on data available in the customer data tables, you can use the normal iTL Merge Field or the iTL look up function.
There are four types of tables in iPost:
System Data Tables - tables containing system data, such as tracking information, contact properties, and platform objects.
Custom Data Tables - tables created by the user for the use of sending, querying, and managing data.
Dynamic Data Tables - these tables are the results of filtering one or more Custom and System Tables.
Coupons Data Tables - created by the user for the storing and inserting coupon codes into emails.
